Selling my Watercolors of Tybee Cottages -a great sucess and FUN!
I been painting coastal cottages for a little while, so ventured down to Tybee from St Louis on April 4 with my original watercolors...and with help from my cute nephew Ryan, set up shop for one day outside the Seaside Sisters shop on Hwy 80.
Both Diane Kaufman and Jane Coslick showed up while we were setting up, and later bought several paintings! Yea! Diane has been helping to promote my watercolors, and Jane Coslick is, well Jane is my idol. Jane and I both love coastal architecture-she designs, restores and furnishes cottages... and coastal architecture and still life's are the theme for all my paintings.
Ryan brought me breakfast from the Sunrise Cafe and headed to the beach. I painted a coastal landscape while people browsed. PamMartin kept everyone smiling.
We had a great day and wonderful time making art and meeting both Georgians like Trisha, Pris and Sherri, as well as tourists from as far away as Minnesota. Ryan came back with a sunburn, but a large milkshake make it better.
We had great sales and any remaining art is now back at my place in Beaufort, S.C.
Once I got back to Beaufort, I readied the townhouse for this seasons rental guests.
I'll post a few new photos of the Beaufort place and the watercolor show.
