Doggone It! Tybee’s Leash Cutting Celebration Cancelled Due to Weather Tybee’s Dog Parks Leash Cutting Ceremony, originally scheduled for Saturday, August 23rd, at 10:30 am has been postponed. Although Fay should no longer be a real threat by then, potential rain, and the large amount of rain that has fallen already, has put the damper on the intended party. She came, she blew lots of rain and wind, she's still sticking around, but that's ok because we really do need the rain. The winds are howling tonight and bands of rain, but still nothing close to a hurricane. The Sea Turtle Nests are ok but the Marine Science Center is keeping an eye on the nests that haven't hatched yet...
